A midlands-based actor and director; a versatile, female theatre-maker, with a rich, mixed heritage (Indo-Caribbean & English). Tara was born in the UK and raised there and in Trinidad & Tobago. She has a wealth and variety of experience in the arts that spans fifteen years.
Alongside theatre directing & producing, Tara performs in touring theatre and has also worked on the outreach side.
She has AD'ed on indie feature films, short films and music videos; performed & directed spoken word.

Tara has been on the fringe theatre circuit (regularly 4 and 5 star reviewed) self-producing with her theatre company performing/directing and producing since 2012- self funded. (Edinburgh; Brighton, Camden, Guildford, Oxford, local rural venues etc).
Since 2014, she has directed for large community theatres in both Oxfordshire and Warwickshire whilst raising her three children as a single parent.

Tara has taught theatre skills to very young, home educated children and also Tudor History in situ, as a costumed presenter. She has another branch of her theatre company - Shake The History Tree - where children are immersed - through historical roleplay - in the world of Shakespeare and specific plays.
